The short answer
In Zoom, the usual way is to paste a payment link into the chat and hope people find it, which loses many buyers. To sell during a live meeting, put the offer on screen while you’re talking, with a button that takes people straight to checkout. R-Link Studio is built for exactly that: you show the offer with one click, and buyers pay through your own Stripe account.
Why selling in Zoom is hard
Zoom is built for talking, not buying. There is no place on the meeting screen to show an offer with a buy button, so most hosts fall back on links in the chat.
Links in chat get buried under questions and comments. People who click leave your meeting for a checkout tab, and the ones who don’t click get a follow-up email after the moment has passed.
How to sell during a live meeting, step by step
- 1
Connect your payment account
Before the event, connect your Stripe account in R-Link under Settings, then Integrations, so payments go straight to you.
- 2
Plan one clear offer
Decide what you’re selling, the price, and the single action you want people to take. One offer converts better than a menu.
- 3
Teach before you pitch
Spend most of the session delivering real value. Your offer should feel like the natural next step, not an interruption.
- 4
Put the offer on screen
At the moment interest peaks, show the offer where everyone can see it. In R-Link that’s a CTA Banner or Product Showcase that appears with one click.
- 5
Make paying one click away
Show the Checkout element. Buyers enter their details on screen and click through to a secure Stripe checkout, instead of hunting for a link in chat.
- 6
Capture everyone else
Not everyone is ready to buy. A Lead Capture form on screen collects contact details from people who want to hear more.
