The short answer

To take payments during a webinar, connect a payment account like Stripe before the event, then show your offer and checkout on screen at the moment you make the offer, so buying is one click away. Payment links in chat work, but they get buried and many buyers never find them. In R-Link Studio, the Checkout element puts the order form on screen and sends payment to your connected Stripe account.

Three ways to take payments in a webinar

Payment link in chat: easy to set up, but the link scrolls away and buyers leave your webinar to pay.

Payment page after the webinar: you send a link in the follow-up email. It works for some, but most buying energy is gone by then.

Checkout launched from the screen: the offer and order form appear in the webinar while you’re still presenting, and buyers click through to pay. This catches people at the moment they decide.

How to set up payments in an R-Link webinar

  1. 1

    Connect Stripe

In R-Link, go to Settings, then Integrations, and connect your Stripe account. Finish Stripe’s onboarding until charges are enabled. Payouts and taxes are managed in Stripe.

  2. 2

    Add a Checkout element

Create a Checkout element with your product and price, and choose how people can pay: Stripe, a PayPal checkout link, or an invoice you send afterward.

  3. 3

    Present first, then reveal

Deliver the content. When you make your offer, put the product card and checkout on screen.

  4. 4

    Answer questions while they buy

Keep talking. While buyers check out on Stripe’s secure page, you keep handling questions for everyone still deciding.

  5. 5

    Use a deadline

Show a countdown Timer for a webinar-only bonus so people know when the offer ends.

  6. 6

    Follow up with the rest

Use Lead Capture for people who want more information, and replay the offer in your follow-up.
