The short answer
To sell during a livestream, show your offer on the stream itself, not just in the description, and give viewers a fast way to buy from their phone, like an on-screen QR code. With R-Link Studio, you stream to YouTube, Facebook or LinkedIn from a room where offers, product cards and QR codes appear on screen, and people in your R-Link room can click straight through to buy.
Why livestream sales are hard
Social platforms are made for watching, not buying. Links go in the description or a pinned comment, and viewers on phones rarely stop watching to go find them.
The fix is to make the offer part of the picture: if viewers can see it and scan it without leaving the stream, more of them act.
How to sell from a livestream, step by step
- 1
Connect your destinations
In R-Link under Settings, then Integrations, add the stream key for each platform: YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Twitch or any custom RTMP. Business streams to several at once.
- 2
Set up your scene
Get your camera, slides and products ready. Your stream starts only when you click Go Live.
- 3
Make the offer visible
Show a CTA Banner or Product Showcase on screen, so it’s part of the stream every viewer sees.
- 4
Add a QR code for phone viewers
An on-screen QR Code lets people on their phones jump straight to checkout or sign-up.
- 5
Sell in your room, too
Invite your best customers into the R-Link room, where they can click Buy Now on screen.
- 6
Repeat the offer
Livestream viewers come and go. Bring the offer back on screen a few times during the show.
Selling on a livestream: the usual way vs. R-Link
| Usual livestream | Streaming from R-Link | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the offer is | Description or pinned comment | On the stream itself |
| Phone viewers | Have to find a link | Scan an on-screen QR code |
| Room guests | Same as everyone | Click Buy Now right on screen |
| Going live | Often starts on entry | Starts when you click Go Live |
