The short answer
Most people agree live, then email a contract afterward and wait. To get it signed live, put the agreement on screen while you’re still talking and let the client sign it right there. In R-Link Studio, the Contract element shows the agreement in the session, the client reviews it and signs by typing or drawing, and both of you get an email once it’s signed.
Why contracts stall after the session
In the session, the client is clear on what they’re getting and ready to start. Once you both leave, the contract becomes one more email in their inbox, and questions that you could have answered in ten seconds turn into days of back and forth.
Signing while you’re both still there keeps the decision and the paperwork in the same moment. You can walk through the terms, answer questions out loud and see it signed.
How to get a contract signed live, step by step
- 1
Add a Contract element
In the Studio, open Elements, then Commerce, and choose Contract. Give it a name and enter the participant’s email.
- 2
Add your agreement
Upload your contract as a PDF, or paste the contract text if you want to walk through it together in interactive mode.
- 3
Set up signatures
Turn on Require signatures, choose whether people sign by typing, drawing or either, and add a signature field for each person, such as Host and Guest. You can also require a date or initials.
- 4
Talk through the terms
In the session, cover what’s included, timing and anything the client asked about. Questions answered live are questions that don’t stall the signature later.
- 5
Send it for signature
Show the contract and click Send for Signature. The client sees a Review and Sign button, reads the agreement and signs on screen.
- 6
Sign your side
Add your own signature. Once everyone has signed, the contract shows as Fully Executed and both of you get an email confirming it.
